KT DTS Discipleship Training School
This 5-8 month program provides formation and hands-on ministry experience for young people who want to know God better and to make Him known.
What is a Kerygma Teams Discipleship Training School?
A Kerygma Teams Discipleship Training School (KT DTS) is an intensive course that runs for 6 months, designed to encourage young Christians, aged 18-30, to grow in personal character and exercise their faith. The motto of the school – Knowing God and Making Him known reflects these two emphases of the school: spiritual and personal development, and evangelization.
Knowing God... - The aim of the course is to help you cultivate a living relationship with God, to discover your unique gifts and God's plan for your life. A DTS is about Christian character, but it is more than just theory. The goal of the first three months - the lecture phase - is a journey into the heart of God. The emphasis is not so much on knowledge gained as on principles applied; not on information but transformation; not on your head filled with facts but your heart filled with faith. Because a DTS is based on the 'learning and doing' philosophy you will be living in community during the school and be involved in regular work duties.
...and making him known – The course is designed to equip you for evangelization, lay missions and service in the church and in the world to follow Christ's command: Go into all the world and disciple all nations. (Matthew28,19a). Therefore the last 2 months of the course – the practical phase – consist of an outreach conducting local evangelistic projects in some part of the world, preferably in a nation and culture that is not your own.
All in all, it's a great way to learn and grow together with young people from all over the world, develop character and forge life-long friendships.
